Concan Rentals (concan.rentals) shows which of our Frio River houses are available for your dates, and sends you to Airbnb to book. This page explains what this website collects when you visit, and why.

What this website collects

This website never asks for your name, email address or payment details. To count visitors and see how people use the site, it uses two services from other companies:

• Google Analytics, from Google, counts visits and shows us which pages people view, how they found us (for example an Instagram ad or a Google search), the dates they pick on the calendar, and which houses they tap to see on Airbnb.
• The Meta Pixel, from Meta, the company behind Instagram and Facebook, tells us when someone who saw one of our ads visits the site, picks dates or taps through to Airbnb. Meta may use this to show our ads to people likely to be interested, including people who have visited this site.

Both use cookies and similar technology, and they receive basic information from your browser, such as your type of device, your browser and your approximate location based on your internet address. Google and Meta handle that information under their own privacy policies: Google and Meta.

The chat

The chat on our home page is an automatic assistant (a chatbot). It answers questions about our houses and the Concan area. It can make mistakes, so please check anything important with us before you book. You don’t have to use it: you can always email or call us instead.

What you type in the chat is sent to Anthropic, the maker of Claude, whose AI writes the answers. We keep chats on our own server for up to 12 months to improve the answers, together with your internet address, which we use only to stop too many questions at once. Please don’t type payment details or anything private.

Booking on Airbnb

When you tap “See price on Airbnb”, you leave this site. Your booking, messages and payment happen on Airbnb and are covered by Airbnb’s own privacy policy.

Your choices

• Block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings, or use a private browsing window.
• Turn off Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
• Change how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.

The site works the same either way.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your information.
